Debbie Kalnasy

Debbie is a long-time resident of St. Mary’s County, where she primarily lived in Leonardtown, MD, attending public schools in that area and raising her family. 

She previously was employed by the U.S. Department of Education for 37 years in the District of Columbia.  In this capacity she worked as a budget analyst processing grants for elementary, secondary, and postsecondary schools and school districts and prepared and monitored the budget for the Office of Elementary and Secondary Education, the Office of English Language Acquisition, and the previous Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools.  Debbie retired in 2017 and decided to return to the work force in 2019 with her employment at the Law Office of Joann M. Wood, LLC.

Debbie completed a course of study in title insurance and successfully obtained her Title Producer’s License from the State of Maryland.  She has been appointed by Old Republic Title as a licensed producer, and works part-time with this office.
